Focus on Two Units at a Time

Our block model means you study two units at a time, so you can concentrate on fewer subjects, manage competing deadlines and give each unit your full attention. With classes and assessments focused on those units, you can plan your week more easily, apply feedback to upcoming tasks and build your understanding without juggling multiple subjects at once.

There are four study periods across the academic year, with optional Summer Schools offering additional flexibility. Check our Academic Calendar to plan around study dates and breaks, and remember that Professional Practice and Work Integrated Learning pathways follow their own schedules.

Prepare, Discuss and Apply

Your learning starts before you walk into class. Use our Learning Management System (LMS) to access readings, resources and activities, build your understanding and come ready to share ideas, ask questions and make progress on assessments.

In class, you鈥檒l put those ideas into action through workshops, tutorials and group discussions. Work with your classmates and teaching team to explore real-world examples, test your thinking and connect what you learn with the challenges you may face in your career.

Don't just read books; show the world your skills!

Both master鈥檚 courses include a choice between two Professional Practice units and one Work Integrated Learning (WIL) unit. You complete one pathway.

The Professional Practice pathway consists of MGT9902 Professional Engagement and MGT9903 Consultancy Management Project, worth 30 credit points each. The WIL pathway consists of WIL9900 Work Integrated Learning, a 60-credit-point unit that includes a 12-week work placement.

You must complete at least 180 credit points before enrolling in WIL9900. Your course page sets out the units and pathways. Speak with your course coordinator about placement requirements.

Support as You Study

Feedback is there to help you improve, not just tell you how you went. Use it to build on your strengths, work on areas that need more practice and feel more confident with each assessment. During Orientation, we鈥檒l walk you through how learning and assessment work and show you the resources available to help you stay on track.

Need a hand? Reach out to your teaching team or Student Support early. We鈥檙e here to help you work through challenges, find the right support and keep moving forward.
