Studying in Australia
Australia has proven to be a popular destination for international students. High-quality education, a welcoming culture, vibrant student cities, beautiful natural surroundings and a clean environment continue to positively influence students wishing to study abroad.
Adelaide is very affordable
Adelaide is the perfect place to live and explore on a student budget. Adelaide is one of the most affordable capital cities in terms of living costs, with rent around 45% lower than Sydney. Rent prices vary depending on where you choose to live and how many people you want to share a house with, but on average you can expect to spend between $170-510 per week for a room in a share house.

Accommodation options
You will be given assistance in organising accommodation before you arrive in Adelaide. Several options are available to you including rental accommodation, shared accommodation and homestay. Most international students prefer to share rental accommodation to reduce costs. TITAN staff can assist you to find accommodation.
Although accommodation is available easily, the beginning of each study period is a busy time. You should request assistance to find accommodation at least six weeks prior to arrival.
Homestay living involves placement with an Australian family who provides accommodation and meals, and is a good option for international students. The approximate cost of homestay living in Adelaide is between AUD$200 and AUD$350 per week.
TITAN keeps a list of real estate agents and homestay providers to make necessary arrangements. You are required to make a request for this service at least six weeks in advance (conditions and charges apply).
Arrival
If you are arriving from overseas, you can request an airport pick up service at Adelaide Airport and be assisted to your arranged accommodation. You are assisted with basic needs such as changing money, telephoning home, buying food and any other items.
You are required to make a request for this service at least two weeks in advance (conditions and charges apply). Please be sure to notify the TITAN Student Services Department at least five working days prior to your arrival for these services.
We will assist you with your immediate basic needs as well as longer-term requirements such as opening a bank account, city familiarisation and information on the local transport system.
